For Sale, 1971 Fiat 124 Special Saloon
Chassis No: 952432
Mileage: 73,265 kms
Nova certificate present ready for UK registration
The Fiat 124 was an incredibly versatile family car that was offered in multiple body styles – saloon, estate, coupé and spider. Produced between 1966 and 1974, the Fiat 124 Special was launched midway through the production run in October 1968. The Special was effectively a more upmarket version of the standard car, offering a 1.4-litre overhead valve engine and an all-new 5-link solid rear axle. Stylistically, the 124 Special was distinguished by a new rectangular grille, four inset round headlamps, flush door handles and single rear centrally mounted reversing light. The Special T was launched in November 1970, and featured an uprated twin-cam version of the 1.4-litre engine (which was derived from the Sport Coupe and Spider).
Fiennes Showroom are delighted to offer this 1971 example, presented in a beautiful burgundy red colour scheme, previously an Italian registered vehicle. The car is very original with only 73,000kms displayed. There is little history with the car, but the bodywork, paintwork and interior are all in really good condition and present well. There is a scratch on the bootlid which would require rectification to make this a really good example. The car has been a part of a private collection for many years, and has not been run for some time, so the car will require recommissioning before returning to the road. A lovely original example.
