For Sale: 1960 Bentley SII Saloon
Chassis No: B38AM
Engine No: 181 AB
Fiennes Showroom are delighted to present the Bentley SII which was originally supplied to the Duke of Marlborough and its first registered address being our very own Blenheim Palace.
Presented in Midnight Blue which was treated to a body off restoration and extensive documentation to support the level of detail that took place throughout the process. Starting from the front you are treated to the art deco headlight configuration which works beautifully with the flowing lines of the SII. Under the bonnet you are treated to a near immaculate coachworks and the delight of the Bentley L Series V8.
The exterior is in fantastic condition with minor stone chips to the front of the car. The interior which is believed to be the original trim is finished in ivory leather with a wheat carpet. The interior is believed to be the original trim and is showing signs of patina.
As you would expect the luxury can only continue with beautifully presented burr walnut dash facia and door capping's with the fold down tables to the rear.
Air conditioning came as standard in the SII which gives that modern motoring feel along with the open air option of the full length sunroof fitted as an optional extra.
PBW900 was treated to a full overhaul and restoration. Documented within the history file the restoration was a body off restoration, full chassis refurbishment, and body repaint.
An engine rebuild was commissioned in 2015 which took place by Dennis Pilling & Son. Further works carried out by Dennis included a complete woodwork restoration in 2009.
The history file certainly shows a no expense spared which supports this fine motor car that we have here today.
PBW900 runs and drives very well and is believed to have travelled over one hundred thousand miles.
